True, except no one really gets hurt with these “No Shariah Law here” laws. It’s mostly just a waste of time. The drug testing nonsense will discourage some from applying for benefits that they need.
There is a deadly substance that probably is widely used among SNAP & welfare recipients - tobacco. The historical ties between the right and the tobacco industry are what stops them from going after that though. So much for actually caring about the people involved.

I’ve always been a firm believer that elected officials should be required to submit to random drug testing. It’s ideas like this that constantly reinforce that opinion.
