For Some Reason, Former KKK Leader David Duke Thinks It’s a Perfect Time to Run for Office
In the Donald Trump era, former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke has decided this is the perfect time for him to take another run at the US Senate.
In an online video announcing his candidacy, Duke also said, “I’m overjoyed to see Donald Trump and most Americans embrace most of the issues that I’ve championed for years.”
In his video, Duke said he believes in equal rights and respect for all Americans but “what makes me different is I also demand respect for the rights and heritage of European-Americans.”

Republicans just nominated someone for president of the United States who frequently retweets white supremacists and antisemites, and is running on a nakedly racist platform of xenophobic fear-mongering, but Newt Gingrich still pretends to denounce David Duke, because Duke is bad. Unlike Trump, who is good.
Every Republican should oppose David Duke running for office, there is no place in the GOP for Ku Klux Klan hatred.

It’s a little late to call on Republicans to denounce racist hatred, don’t you think? @newtgingrich
