Nicole Wallace: The Republican Party ‘Died in This Room Tonight’
I would argue with Nicole on this. My Republican party died shortly after our current president was elected. When the Republicans clearly demonstrated that they could not handle a black man as president, when they encouraged and invoked the demons of hate and became obstructionist - willing to burn the country down and actively harm their constituents rather than let a Black president accomplish anything. That’s when my Republican party died, that’s when I registered Democrat.
